What my daughter would like to tell you:

My name is Lin-Yana, I was 12 years old when I started this website.

I want to say that I think it is dumb that so much rubbish is laying around. It is disgusting to see so much rubbish on the beach.

If you want to relax on the beach there should not be any litter. It doesn’t look good.

It is bad for birds and other animimals too. They can be suffocated. In the ocean the dolphins can starve because their stomach is full of plastic and no fish fits in it any more. Thus animals can become extinct.

You can hurt yourself, for instance because of broken glass.

When we are travelling we always collect rubbish. Sometimes it very difficult to find somewhere to put it. In England we found electronic scrap. It took very long until we found a recycling centre.

If we don‘t stop throwing rubbish away, more and more rubbish will be all over the world. And in the ocean there will be more floating islands of rubbish.

Nobody should throw any rubbish into nature. And people who don’t have work could collect rubbish. If you see someone who throws litter away, kindly ask him not to do so.

Best would be, if all packages, which only are used until the crisps have been eaten, would decompose. Please tell that to those who produce the packages.

It would be so nice if the beach could be clean again some day.

So please TAKE ACTION.

(translation by Lin-Yana’s father)

Lin-Yana is now 23. So it is more than ten years since we made this website. There were many letters of people who found that website interesting. But we have not yet achieved to find anyone who helps with more translations. Send us a note if you are willing to help us.
